| Abstract: | В статье проводится сопоставительное исследование фразеологической репрезентации носителями белорусского и английского языков концепта «Человек» – одного из базовых понятий, проявляющихся у представителей самых разных культур; устанавливаются общие черты и особенности употребления и восприятия фразеологических единиц, которые репрезентируют концепт «Человек» и соотносятся с соматическим, зооморфным или религиозным кодами культуры. Особое внимание уделяется роли слов-компонентов в формировании культурного образа, закодированного во внутренней форме фразеоло-гических единиц. |
| Description: | Kulik L. V. Representation of the Concept “Person” in the Belarusian and English Phraseology. The article presents a comparative research of the phraseological representation of the concept “Person” by native speakers of the Belarusian and English languages. The common features and national peculiarities of the phraseological units related to the somatic, zoomorphic or religious codes of culture are established. The interpretation of the Belarusian and English phraseological units related to the thematic codes of culture indicates the cultural significance of their components which is revealed through the description and decoding their inner form. The conclusions of the article can be used in giving courses in the field of phraseology, cultural linguistics, inter-language communication, theory and practice of translation and compiling of phraseological dictionaries. |
