| Abstract: | This article deals with the research of English realia on the basis of the structural and contrastive analysis of the original film texts and their Ukrainian and Russian target texts. Realia are words and expressions for culture-specific material forming a peculiar linguistic category that cause certain problems during performing a translation. The difficulties appear when a translator needs to decide what is more important to convey the form or to focus on the content.
