| Abstract: | На основе исследования романа Ч. Н. Адичи «Американха» прослеживается формирование гибридной идентичности на разных слоях нарратива. Выявлено, что трансформация главной героини из нигерийки в афроамериканку проходит через изменение ряда привычек, создание синтетического языкового полотна и модификацию национальных и западных традиций. Доказано, что этот процесс происходит и на аллегорическом уровне: символизм натурального начала девушки, романтизация образа Барака Обамы, оппозиция женского и мужского мировоззрения, разрыв поколений, расовые антиномии американского общества. Обоснован ведущий мотив романа – возвращение: герои сфокусированы на поиске идеального мира и мечутся между двумя полюсами – США и Нигерия. | Description: | Karpievich A. A. The Problem of Hybrid Identity in the Novel “Americanah” by Ch. N. Adichie. Based on the research the formation of a hybrid identity is traced on different layers of the narrative in the novel “Americanah” by Ch. N. Adichie. It is revealed that the transformation of the main character from a Nigerian to an African-American woman goes through a change in a number of habits, the creation of a synthetic language canvas and the modification of national and Western traditions. It is proved that this process also occurs at the allegorical level: the symbolism of the essense of the girl, the romanticization of the image of Barack Obama, the opposition of the female and male views, the generation gap, and the racial antinomies of American society. It is asserted that the main motive of the novel is the return: the characters are fixated on the search for an ideal world and rush between the two poles – the United States and Nigeria Key words: multiculturalism; hybrid identity; cross-cultural literature; African-Americans; americanization; migration. |
