| Abstract: | Античные символы выступают как элементы языкового членения мира, на основании которых языковая компетенция включается в константы сознания. В константах отражаются представления, выраженные с помощью «фундаментальных» понятий. Одним из таких «фундаментальных» понятий философской мысли Древней Греции является понятие αρετή ʻаретеʼ – добродетель, воинская доблесть. | Description: | Romanovskaya A. Mythological “fundamental” concepts the constants of the language of consciousness. Ancient symbols act as elements of linguistic division of the world, on the basis of which linguistic competence is included in the constants of consciousness. The constants reflect the views expressed with the help of “fundamental” concepts. One of these “fundamental” concepts of philosophical thought of Ancient Greece is the concept of αρετή ‘arete’ – virtue, military valor.
