| Abstract: | Статья освещает прием ненадежного рассказчика и два пути его восприятия детской литературой: интерпретационный и жанровый. В ракурсе последнего ненадежный нарратор современного детского романа рассматривается как преемник поэтики анималистической сказки. В статье показана преемственность от поэтики фольклорных анималистических сказок к авторским сказкам с героями-животными Б. Поттер, Л. Кэрролла, М. Бонда к современному детскому экологическому роману, представленному книгами С. Пеннипакер, Р. Брауна и Э. Хантер. Обозначены функции ненадежного нарратора в этом жанре. | Description: | Zelezinskaya N., Lychko M. Functional Capacity of the Unreliable Narrator in Ecological Literature for Children. The shift in the focus of literature and general humanities from anthropocentrism to diversity and equality, blurring the boundaries between the central and the marginal, has not only provided animals with a discernible voice in the narrative, but also made this voice a carrier of the main ideas of the creative works. This tendency is clearly manifested in ecological literature for children and teenagers, where the traditional protagonist is combined with the narrator, creating conditions for the main function of the genre ‒ to promote ecological consciousness ‒ and a whole range of additional functions: characterological, expressive, and emotive. Using the technique of the unreliable narrator, the author manages to show the difference between consumer consciousness and ecological consciousness, to expose the absurdity of the idea of human hegemony over nature, to present a number of controversial collective attitudes, offering to question the familiar and to try to switch to a new type of thinking – ecothinking.
