| Abstract: | Статья выполнена в поле лингвистики дискурса и описывает потенциал методики когнитивного моделирования в изучении гибридной идентичности мигрантов. Исследование проведено на материале дискурсий мигрантов Беларуси и Германии, и демонстрирует специфику категоризации и вербализации мигрантами нового для них социокультурного пространства. | Description: | Yadchenko E. Categorization as a Key Method for Studying the Discourse of Migrants’ Identity. The article applies to the field of discourse linguistics and describes the potential of the cognitive modeling methodology in the study of the hybrid identity of migrants. The study was carried out on the basis of the discourses of migrants living in Belarus and Germany; it demonstrates the specifics of categorization and verbalization by migrants of a socio-cultural space which is new for them. Key words: hybrid identity of migrants; cognitive processes; category; categorization; cognitive model. |
