| Description: | Tsupa H. I. On Modification of Structural Models of Complex Dialogic Units. The article discusses two options of the structure modification – expansion and clipping – in a complex dialogic unit. Moreover, different varieties of complementary utterances involved in the expansion of a complex dialogic unit were determined. It was discovered that the formation of modified structures correlates with the illocutionary function of the final phrase. If the structural model ends with a representative utterance, then, a complementary utterance can join the model, which causes the model to expand. If the final phrase is directive, then, the complex dialogic unit (in the case of a positive reaction to the order) may be clipped. |
