| Description: | Surkova M. A. The Semantic Spheres of Colour Adjectives in the English and Belarusian Languages. The article studies the semantics of the primary colour adjectives in collocations in the English and Belarusian languages. In the course of the comparative analysis of dictionary definitions, several semantic spheres were identified and described. The paper proves that the semantic spheres of colour terms in the English and Belarusian languages have particular idioethnic and national-specific characteristics. |
