| Abstract: | Статья посвящена теме Рождества. Праздник зимнего солнцестояния, изначально языческий, после принятия христианства приобрел новый смысл и отмечается сегодня. Многие элементы Рождества видоизменились, утратили то значение, которое было придано им в древности. Одним из главных элементов праздника является рождественский ужин. На основе материалов авторитетных фольклористов и этнографов автор статьи исследовала обряды праздничного рождественского обеда белорусов и других народов. Автор проанализировала функции ритуальных действий, выявила различия и сходства, подчеркнула единство представлений разных народов о сакральности рождественского обеда. | Description: | Shchatko, D. А. The article is devoted to the theme of Christmas. The winter solstice holiday, originally pagan, took on a new meaning after the adoption of Christianity and is celebrated today. Many elements of Christmas have changed and lost the meaning that was given to them in ancient times. One of the main elements of the holiday is Christmas dinner. Based on materials from authoritative folklorists and ethnographers, the author of the article examined the rituals of the festive Christmas dinner of Belarusians and other peoples. The author analyzed the functions of ritual actions, identified differences and similarities, and emphasized the unity of ideas of different peoples about the sacredness of the Christmas dinner. Key words: rite, Christmas dinner, kutia, ritual, sacredness, magical functions. |
