| Abstract: | Данная статья посвящена теме эвфемизма как языкового и социального феномена. В работе раскрывается вопрос возникновения этого научного термина, его развития и особенности применения в ситуациях языкового общения. Объясняется, как именно табуированная лексика влияла на жизнь древних людей, а также желание людей избегать такой запрещенной лексики. Такое стремление послужило источником эвфемистических выражений. В дополнение к этой теме, подымается вопрос определения изучаемого термина. Разные ученые предлагают различные подходы к описанию данного языкового феномена. Однако все определения связаны друг с другом, имеют общий смысл и идею и дополняют друг друга в определенных аспектах. Ключевые слова: эвфемизм; табу; нейтральные слова; замена; запрет. |
| Description: | Matievskaya, V. U. This article is devoted to the topic of euphemism as a linguistic and social phenomenon. The paper reveals the issue of the emergence of this scientific term, its development and peculiarities of usage in situations of linguistic communication. It is explained how exactly tabooed vocabulary influenced the life of ancient people, as well as the desire of people to avoid such forbidden vocabulary. Such a desire served as a source of euphemistic expressions. In addition to this topic, the question of the definition of the term under study is raised. Different scholars offer different approaches to describing this linguistic phenomenon. However, all definitions are related to each other, have a common meaning and idea and complement each other in certain aspects. Key words: euphemism; taboo; neutral words; substitution; prohibition. |
