| Abstract: | В статье рассматривается специфика жанра антиутопии, к характерным чертам которой в том числе относятся кастовая система, ритуализация жизни внутри системы, локализация действий в ограниченном замкнутом пространстве и времени, отстраненность от прошлого и будущего, конфликт личности со средой, деперсонификация личности и др. Авторами проанализированы романы К. Исигуро «Не отпускай меня» и «Клара и Солнце», в которых выявлены типичные признаки жанра антиутопии. | Description: | Serova A., Minina V. Elements of the Dystopian Genre in K. Ishiguro’s Novels “Never Let Me Go” and “Clara and the Sun”. The article discusses the peculiarities of the dystopian genre, the key features of which may include class system, the ritualization of life within a system, the localization of actions in a limited and closed space and time, detachment from the past and future, the conflict of the individual with the environment, depersonalization of the individual, etc. The authors analyze K. Ishiguro’s novels “Never Let Me Go” and “Klara and the Sun”, revealing in them the typical features of the dystopian genre.
