| dc.description | Tarasava T. Autobiographical Features of I. Navumenka’s Prose and its Characteristics in the Story “Whirlpool”. The short story “Whirlpool” (1997) by I. Navumenka is analysed in the article to reveal the peculiarities of the author’s autobiographical features in the text, which are characterized by the confession style (self-presentation of the author’s image in the context of his time), the plurality of “I” (the inner and the outer “I”, “I” in the past and present), close attention to detail and to the temporality factor (inconsistency and fragmentation of facts and events), and the frame narrative technique. Navumenka’s autobiographical features in his prose became an important strategic way to represent reality, to conceptualize a person as a subject of existence. K e y w o r d s: I. Навуменкі “Вір” (1997) разглядаюцца своеасаблівасці аўтарскага аўтабіяграфізму, якому ўласцівы спавядальнасць (самапрэзентацыя ўласнага вобраза ў кантэксце свайго часу), семантычная множнасць “я” (“я” ўнутранага і знешняга, “я” ў мінулым і “я” ў цяперашнім часе), скрупулёзная ўвага да дэталяў, адметная тыпалогія часавых узаемаадносін (непаслядоўнасць фактаў, падзей, фрагментарнасць), кампазіцыйны прыём “рамак”. Сфармуляваны вывад пра тое, што навуменкаўскі аўтабіяграфізм як спосаб мастацкага ўвасаблення біяграфічных фактаў у тэксце, як своеасаблівая стылёвая манера пісьменніка стаў важнай стратэгічнай формай увасаблення рэчаіснасці, асэнсавання феномена чалавека як субʼекта быцця.
