The article is devoted to the study of the role of the modal component in the semantic organization of the texts of newspaper journalism. The textual modality is varied and complex in its implementation. The recurrence of various modal elements plays a significant role in text formation and the formation of discursive pragmatics. Modality contributes to the embodiment of the main author's intention, the intention of persuasion. Thus, the impact on the addressee is carried out. Текстовая модальность отличается вариативностью и комплексным характером реализации. Повторяемость различных модальных элементов играет важную роль в текстообразовании и формировании дискурсивной прагматики. Модальность способствует воплощению главной авторской интенции, интенции убеждения. Таким образом осуществляется воздействие на адресата.
