| dc.description | Romanovskaya E. A. Teaching Argumentation as One of the Key Stages in a Foreign Language Debate. The article deals extensively with the questions of teaching debates in a foreign language to senior students of a linguistic university on the basis of the course manual in teaching foreign language communication. The stages of teaching debate are illustrated in the course manual and are described in detail. The formation of argumentation skills as the basis of any debate is in the focus of the author’s attention. The structure of argumentation is analysed. Different types of exercises are offered to correspond the expected skills development. | dc.description.abstract | В статье рассматриваются вопросы обучения дебатированию на иностранном языке студентов старших курсов лингвистического вуза на примере пособия по практике иноязычной речи. Подробно описываются этапы в обучении дебатированию, представленные в пособии. Акцент делается на формировании у студентов умений аргументации как основы любых дебатов. Раскрывается структура аргументации. Предлагаются упражнения для развития соответствующих умений.
