The article deals with the prosodic characteristics of French verum focus utterances in which the rhematic tone has a non-final position and is localized on the predicate. The article discusses the factors that determine the marked character of the informational structure of such utterances, reveals their semantic and pragmatic content and determines the contribution of the rhematic tone to the expression of the meanings of contrast and epistemic and emotional modality. dc.description.abstractCтатья посвящена исследованию просодических характеристик французских общеверификативных высказываний, в которых рематический тон, приходящийся на сказуемое, занимает неконечную позицию. Рассматриваются факторы, определяющие маркированность коммуникативной структуры такого рода высказываний, выявляется их семантико-прагматическое содержание и определяется вклад рематического тона в выражение значений контраста и эпистемической и эмоциональной модальности.
