This article deals with the analysis of the concept "household item" by studying language semantics, its development and semantic transfers in Russian, Belarusian and English. Some metaphorical models, selected on the basis of the source domain “household item” are described. The target frames that make up these models are highlighted, and some quantitative results that reflect the frequency of use of these models in Russian, Belarusian and English are presented. | en_US |
