| dc.description | The report is concerned with the role of voice colouring (speech timbre) in conveying the axiological and emotional/ attitudional aspects of the modality of a speech act. Modifications of the speaker’s voice colouring are viewed as an inseparable part of the global prosodic structure of an utterance, relevant, particularly, for distinguishing neutral and expressive prosody including the gradual variations, or degrees of expressiveness of the latter. The relationship between the marked/ unmarked voice colouring, on the one hand, and expressive/ neutral prosodic pattern and the different degrees of expressive non-verbal behaviour, on the other, has revealed the close interaction and correlation between them. Yet, each of these categories retains its perceptible/ cognitive identity. | dc.description.abstract | В докладе рассматривается участие тембра как компонента просодии в различении видов речевых актов в аспекте аксиологической и эмотивной модальности, тесно связанных с разграничением нейтральной и экспрессивной речи. Участие тембральных модификаций в передаче модального содержания речевого акта выявляет тесное взаимодействие с невербальным поведением говорящего.
